The region faces significant challenges in agriculture and MSMEs, which are crucial for economic resilience and sustainable development. Smallholder farmers struggle with limited knowledge, infrastructure, and the impacts of climate change, while MSMEs encounter hurdles such as restricted access to finance and skilled labor. Capacity-building initiatives should focus on improving connectivity, market access, financial opportunities, and knowledge transfer through training programs. These measures aim to empower farmers and entrepreneurs to adapt to the region's evolving economic and environmental landscape.
The project encompasses three components:
1. Determine capacity building needs for farmers and MSME for Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
2. Develop capacity building programs for farmers and MSME in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
3. Implement (in national languages) capacity-building programs for farmers and MSME in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
Task
he overall goal of the intervention is to develop needs-based training material for farmers and businesses, and to train in total 300 farmers and 30 MSME in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia on resilience towards climate change.
