The Board of Trustees and Management Board are the principal organs within the German Sparkassenstiftung. Their duties are laid out in our company statutes.
Well over half of all German Sparkassen are members of the German Sparkassenstiftung. This is a win-win situation because they not only create the basis for German Sparkassenstiftung's work, but also strengthen the status of the Sparkassen system.
The Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (Savings Banks Finance Group) is the largest financial group in Europe and the market leader in Germany. Its umbrella organisation is the German Savings Banks Association (Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband, DSGV).
