Tajikistan’s central bank – the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) – and Sparkassenstiftung have signed a project agreement, striving to lift the professional standards and skills of the Tajik bank staff to international level. Thus, the development of Tajikistan’s banking system is to be freshly stimulated.

The first phase of this long-term project will commence in October and run through to the fall of 2017. During this project term, about 250 bank employees of the Tajik banking sector are to be trained within the scope of a dual vocational training course.
