Consultancy and training measures covering various key banking areas helped the Slovakian savings bank to effectively manage numerous adjustment processes as part of its transformation into a universal bank. Deutsche Sparkassenstiftung's activities focussed on human resources and training, controlling and auditing, the development of new business areas / marketing and sales.

The Slovakian savings bank was granted a licence for the TOPSIM-Banking computer simulation, a banking simulation game that has proved to be extremely valuable for training young managers. Sparkassenstiftung prepared employees from the further training department in Germany for their assignment as trainers.
