As part of this project, supporting measures are implemented to optimize and further develop BMZ-funded projects of the German Sparkassenstiftung. It serves as a cross-organizational project for innovation, knowledge management, and quality development. The focus is on sustainable finance, monitoring and evaluation, as well as the transfer of successful approaches to existing and new projects.

For the BMZ portfolio “Cooperation with the Private Sector,” the themes of “Strategy,” “Communication and Branding,” and “Monitoring and Evaluation” were defined as the pillars of the strategic realignment.

The project aims to build a bridge between these topics and the individual BMZ-funded projects of the DSIK.

Task
To achieve these objectives, the following measures in particular will be implemented:

• Improvement of project management for BMZ-funded projects in accordance with the BMZ guidelines (e.g., regular updates to the BMZ handbook)
• Further development and global implementation of sustainable finance tools and business games
• Identification of new project approaches by the German Sparkassenstiftung (fact-finding missions)
• Systematization of monitoring processes
• Conducting a program evaluation
