Returnees and other vulnerable groups in Ghana regularly face obstacles in finding work and integrating into the local labour market and economy. Many have limited access to formal jobs due to a lack of marketable skills, cultural differences, language barriers or unsuitable qualifications, and therefore have insufficient opportunities for long-term economic security.
The specific objective of the project is to strengthen local providers of training measures for returnees and vulnerable groups. The aim is to set up a fund for local subsidies to be provided to qualified training providers in Ghana. There are also plans to design and publish calls for proposals, select grant recipients and design and implement accompanying capacity-building measures for local training providers. In addition, the project will manage the local subsidies fund that has been set up.
Task
The project aims to provide support and capacity development for local training providers in Ghana addressing returnees and vulnerable groups. The qualified training providers are supported with local subsidies and accompanying capacity development measures.
