The Republic of Moldova faces significant challenges in its energy sector, characterized by a high dependency on imports, which leads to the country being highly vulnerable to external disruptions in energy supply, price volatility, and malign influence.
The project will develop training measures that combine content on financial education and the economic efficiency of energy efficiency measures in multi-family buildings, thereby raising awareness among HOAs (Home Owners' Associations) of the benefits of energy efficiency measures. The training measures developed will then be piloted with selected homeowners' associations.
Tasks
The main objective of the project is focused on raising awareness among the APCs (Asociația de Proprietari din Condominiu or Owner-Associations in multi-apartment buildings) in Moldova on the benefits of energy efficiency measures in multi-apartment buildings and the opportunities of tapping into the existing MREEF mechanism (Moldovan Residential Energy Efficiency Fund) and related financing products. For this purpose, a national capacity-building training programme for HoAs/APCs has to be designed and delivered through training sessions.
