As part of a cooperation with the Caixa Foundation, the aim is to expand the activities of the “Silver Finance – Inclusion for Life” initiative with IDB and BMZ. The Caixa Foundation will provide financial resources directly to DSIK for the specific implementation of the project.
The following topics have been agreed with the Caixa Foundation for the 2025/2026 project work:
- Workshop series on creating a financial ecosystem for older people
- Awareness-raising campaign
- Innovation event
- Digital solution for financial and digital education
All activities complement the activities of the IDB's “Silver Finance – Financial Inclusion for Life” initiative.
Tasks
The general cooperation with the Caixa Foundation was established in March 2024 with the signing of a framework agreement. On this basis, an initial pilot cooperation in connection with the existing “Silver Finance - Inclusion for Life” initiative with the IDB was decided for 2024. The overarching goal is to improve and expand financial services for the over-60 population. The following activities are planned, among others:
I. Analysis of the needs of the target population, for example through studies with structured surveys of the target group
II. Awareness campaigns and personal and/or virtual seminars on the topic of the silver economy and finance
III. Promotion of innovation in the field of silver finance
