Entrepreneurs in the Republic of Moldova, particularly SMEs and early-stage businesses, face significant challenges in accessing financial services and developing the necessary skills for sustainable growth. Despite the existence of financing opportunities many entrepreneurs struggle to meet eligibility criteria due to a lack of financial literacy and business planning skills. Another key problem is the limited access to structured and practical financial education, which prevents entrepreneurs from effectively managing their finances, making informed investment decisions, and leveraging available funding opportunities. Additionally, regional disparities in training accessibility create further barriers, as entrepreneurs in remote areas have fewer opportunities to develop essential competencies.
The overall objective of the project is to enhance the Financial Literacy and business management skills of SMEs in Moldova through targeted educational activities, thereby indirectly facilitating their ability to access FACEM funds. This support strengthens their economic sustainability and the ability to create jobs and ensures their eligibility for assessment by financial institutions.
Task
Objective 1: Design and adaptation of effective SME Business Literacy training tools with a particular focus on access to FACEM funds.
Objective 2: Strengthen the capacity of up to 15 in-house trainers and consultants from ODA and/or regional ODA hubs to deliver comprehensive financial and business management trainings to MSMEs.
Objective 3: Training material (incl. case studies, templates and self-learning tools) are anytime available through digital ODA-Platform.
