Challenge: The age of digital is advancing worldwide and is increasingly becoming the norm for all regions, sectors and population groups. The accompanying digital transformation presents society, companies and organizations with a wide range of challenges and pressures to change. Be it the fast-moving technological change, changing behaviors and needs or the increasing digitalization of products, services and processes: Successful adaptation to the new, digital reality offers a wide range of opportunities, but is also resource-intensive. For example, there is already a "digital gap" between privileged and disadvantaged population groups, such as people aged 60 and older in Mexico. Microfinance institutions (MFIs), as important vehicles of financial inclusion, hardly have sufficient investment resources, necessary networks or the internal competencies to keep pace with developments.

Project content: The project objective is the equal participation in economic life of women, economically disadvantaged and physically impaired people in the age group of 60 years and older. This is done by strengthening their sustainable access to digital financial services through innovation support to enable financial independence and self-determined participation in life in Mexico (establish feminist development policy) and thus strengthen the possibility of economic development (effectively reduce poverty, hunger and inequality).
