Duration

Due to the lack of jobs in the formal sector, many women with low levels of education are involved in informal trade and encounter various problems associated with the lack of a permanent place for their business. The lack of access to formal financial products and services forces these women to take loans from usurers and repay them with excessive interest rates.

Women engaged in informal trade will be facilitated access to formal finance to enable them to undertake durable and sustainable income-generating activities and consolidate peace in their communities.

Beneficiaries are organized into groups to be mentored in saving, accessing solidarity-based credit, and strengthening their entrepreneurial skills.
Discussion sessions promote social cohesion and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Coaching sessions support the implementation of the acquired knowledge in practice.
