Conference Series „Financial Sector in Southwest CIS countries“

Project description

On behalf of KfW Savings Banks Foundation for International Co-operation is organising a series of (five) conferences in Potsdam, Kiev and Frankfurt/Main. The topics relate to questions such as the consequences of Basle II for banks and their clients, they deal with money laundering, the establishment of institutions like deposit insurance as well as topics like lending to SME, management of risk in general and loans in particular. As a “side effect” the series of conferences aim at strengthening the ties between the different countries that have at least been partly lost after the break up of the former Soviet Union.
