Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (Savings Banks Finance Group)
In 1992, Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation) was founded by the German Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe (Savings Banks Finance Group), which comprises a large number of Sparkassen (savings banks), savings banks associations, Landesbanken (central savings banks), Landesbausparkassen (central building societies), insurance companies and various other providers of financial services. In its capacity as umbrella organisation of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe the Deutscher Sparkassen- und Giroverband (German Savings Banks Association – DSGV) represents the interests of the Group and determines its strategic orientation.
