    The Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation - SBFIC) makes the German Sparkassen experience accessible in developing and transition countries. It supports financial institutions promoting a sustainable economic and social development at a local, regional or national level by offering banking services that are tailored to the needs of the target groups.  more

    Types of Projects

    Since its launch in 1992, the Sparkassenstiftung has been implementing technical assistance projects covering all areas of banking and related business. However, the Sparkassenstiftung mainly chooses to focus on five project types - areas in which German Sparkassen have been extremely successful themselves.
