Support to Institutional Development of TYM Fund

概述

The main objective of the project is to provide support for TYM’s transformation into a formal Micro-finance Institution, licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam in accordance with Decree No. 28. TYM currently provides loans, savings and mutual assistance funds to more than 20,000 poor women in rural areas of 7 provinces of Vietnam. TYM was founded 13 years ago with the assistance of CARD (Philippines) using the Grameen Bank approach. In order to enhance TYM’s capacity and enlarge its operations, the project involves the improvement of organisational procedures in order to ensure professionalism and sustainability, the revision of operational structures and development of human resources in order to become an independent Micro Finance Institution, and finally the increase of outreach (new branches and regions) and the expansion of the range of services offered. The project also provides and manages a revolving credit fund to TYM.
